• Checking gas installation pipework where practical
• Checking operating pressure and or heat input

• Smoke pellet flue flow test to make sure the flue has a positive draught, not leaking and is clear of obstructions
• Spillage test to make sure any products of combustion are being removed up the flue
• Electronic flue gas analyser for testing combustion gases 
• Checking the flue condition and termination
• Checking if ventilation requirements are correct where required
• Cleaning and inspecting of appliance components where required: burner, air ports, controls, glass, seals, injector, pilot unit, ignition device
• Respraying gas fire: coals, fuel bed and interior boards with black heat resistant paint
